Approvals and Collaboration

Submitting, approving, and reworking transactions

Move supported transactions through configured approval steps and resolve rejection feedback.

Overview

Move supported transactions through configured approval steps and resolve rejection feedback.

Before you begin

Your role assignments apply in the active subsidiary. Submit/approve permissions and the published approval configuration jointly determine available actions.

Main task

  1. Save and review the draft. Confirm quantities, totals, accounts, dates, and supporting evidence.
  2. Use Submit when offered; the record moves into its configured approval process.
  3. Approvers open the source record or scoped approval queue and review the current step before acting.
  4. Approve to advance the process or reject with a clear reason; intermediate approval can leave further steps outstanding.
  5. For rejection, read feedback, correct the allowed fields, and resubmit where supported. Use cancel-submit only when permitted.

Check the result

Final approval/posting behavior depends on the module. Roles are not interchangeable: visibility alone does not imply permission to submit, approve, reject, or edit a pending record. Bulk queues process eligible records within the current scope.

If something goes wrong

If an action is missing, check role assignments, current approval step, status, and period controls. Do not assume all modules share identical draft/approval/posting behavior.
