Overview
Maintain versioned bundle definitions and understand how groups and kits sell and consume stock.
Before you begin
Choose ITEM_GROUP or KIT_PACKAGE for the parent item. Components must be available and assigned to the subsidiary where used.
Main task
- Open the item’s supported bundle-definition controls.
- Create/review component quantities and the definition revision.
- Use the parent item in a sales order and inspect expanded or component information.
- For an item group, review member-priced sales lines; for a kit, review the billed parent and stock components.
- Fulfill through the order workflow and review component stock/cost history.
Check the result
Groups expand to member-priced lines. Kits bill the parent while fulfillment and COGS consume components. Orders snapshot definitions so later revisions do not silently change saved orders.
If something goes wrong
Check component assignment, quantities, revision, and availability. Do not consume parent stock as well as kit components. Assembly items use manufacturing rather than the kit workflow.
