Currency revaluation

Preview and post supported foreign-currency revaluation with linked journals.

Overview

Preview and post supported foreign-currency revaluation with linked journals.

Before you begin

Select the intended subsidiary and an allowed posting period. Review exchange rates, mapped FX accounts, and eligible foreign-currency balances.

Main task

  1. Open Currency Revaluation under Accounting.
  2. Choose the required date/scope and preview the eligible balances.
  3. Review bank, A/R, and other supported balance lines, rates, and proposed FX differences.
  4. Create the reviewed revaluation using the available action.
  5. Inspect its detail and linked generated JV before comparing financial reports.

Check the result

Revaluation retains its generated journal reference. It changes the supported carrying-value/FX accounting rather than cash paid or an invoice’s original currency amount.

If something goes wrong

Missing rates/mappings and closed periods need correction. Check whether a run or JV already exists. Deletion includes controlled generated-JV cleanup; review linked postings before deleting.
